Calculus classes at 9 am are bad things. They're insanely boring and yet you have to go anyway to find out what the homework that's worth 20 percent of your grade is.

Lab today was fun -- my lab partner and I both got through parts one and two of a five part lab (that, incidentally, we have five weeks to do) which was good. Although by the end of part two, we were both getting hungry and started to discuss what foods the color of our mixture resembled. We decided that it looked like very pulp-filled orange juice, then changed to the color of egg yolks, then to scrambled eggs, then to milk, and by the time we dried it, it had about the texture of white chocolate mousse.

And we thought all of these things despite the fact that we were using glacial acetic acid (basically vinegar that's about 100 times stronger than what you buy in the store) and bromine, neither of which have particularly appetizing scents.

So basically, I spent my day working with chemicals that could potentially do great harm to me deciding the ways in which they resembled harmless everyday household foods.

Ah the joys of being a science major.

I love the way you think. I love the very fact that you think about things (and you think about thoughts too--meta!!).
