In one hour, I will begin an insanely heinous bio exam. In three, I will be finished with it. Scared? Oh, yes. Very. Fortunately, I do not have to come home and do all of my homework for the weekend tonight because Chris can't come after all.

I suppose I'm a bit disappointed that he isn't coming, since I had really hoped to see him, but on the other hand of all of the weekends that I have in a given semester, this was not really the most opportune one to have a friend visiting. (Being as this exam is only the first of 3 that I have this week. One today, one Tuesday and one Friday).

So my poor little fried brain can have a night off from homework.

I have biology coming out of my ears right now -- cdc cdk mpf apc ala ser thr aug uag Km Keq gfp sds-page ...

As much as the computer scientists pride themselves on having more acronyms than anybody else I think they're wrong. The biologists do. Plus biologists speak their own language. It's funny -- someone told me once that you learn more new words in a first-year bio class than you do in an average first-year Spanish class. And it's probably true.

But alas, it is time for me to go and eat and go to my exam. Wish me luck!

Hi! So you go to NYU? What year are you in? Anyways, I'm a prospective student who plan on applying there next year. Do get an insider's info/opinions, I have some questions for you if you don't mind.
How would you rate the teaching skills of your profs?
What was your favorite class your first year? Why?
Your biggest class? Smallest class?
Did you have a hard time managing your time?
How much time do you spend on your homework each night?
How many papers/tests per semester?
What do students generally do on the weekends?
How would you rate/describe the sense of community at NYU?
What type of individual would/would not feel comfortable at NYU?
What issues cause high debate at this school?
Thanks, bye!
