I took surveys last night, and tried to post the results, but it didn't work. So I will tell you the gist of it.

Eighty five percent of my personality, according to the "Who's your inner goddess" survey on iVillage.com, does not need a guy. In fact, over 65% of my personality is so strong and independent that it can be off-putting to guys. I read these results and laughed because they were startlingly true of me. And then I smiled a bit when it occurred to me that knowing all of this, I then proceed to wonder why it is that I don't have a boyfriend and haven't had so much as a date in nearly a year.

But that is probably just as well.

I have become once again addicted to Snood. This is bad. And I seem to have lost my ablity to write somewhere along the line. I have volumes of things to say -- reflections I had while wandering down Bleecker Street or Barrow Street, words about new classes and teachers, worries, fears, hopes, dreams. I could write plenty, and somehow I just lack the drive to do it. Or maybe I lack the time, or would rather be reading or something.

Reading I am enjoying right now -- I'm nearly halfway through Foundation's Triumph, the last of the "Second Foundation Trilogy" and the only Foundation - related book which I haven't yet read and it is a wonderful book. It tickles my brain and I like that. I love it, even, because it is the same thing that I love about science. It is a feeling of learning something new, of figuring out the answer just before the author gives it to you, then discovering you're right. Science fiction is, more than most other literature (though I love plays and mysteries and even the romantic novels like Jane Eyre as well) a brain teaser, and being the little scientist that I am, I love brain teasers.

Plus it appeals to the writer in me -- it is a reminder that lyricism in writing is not necessarily what makes it wonderful.

I will regret being up this late when I have to get up at 8 am for lab lecture. Oh. Well. I am enjoying my book.
