Funny funny funny movie. I don't think I've laughed quite that hard in a while.

I've been seeing a lot of movies lately. In the past few weeks, I've seen :
1) Finding Forrester
Good, I thought. Much more amusing to New Yorkers than it probably is to the rest of the world. But still a well done film.
2) Save the Last Dance
Julia Stiles is a fantastic actress and has an aptitude for dance... she did well for having never done it before, but she's a long way from being the kind of person who's fun to watch as a dancer. She looked nervous and exuded a severe lack of self-confidence and seemed very self-conscious in all of the dance scenes. Plus, practically all of the dance in the movie was doubled from the waist down.
3) Before Sunries
Interesting concept. Fantastic chemistry. Great script. A bit sentimental or something for my taste; a bit too open-ended, but certainly an enjoyable film.
4) Being John Malkovich
Fantastically well - acted. I have much more respect for Cameron Diaz as an actress than I did before. Quite twisted, however, especially the whole Maxine-Lottie thing (and now I'm going to get homophobic hate-mail for saying it) but then that twist did raise some very interesting issues about gender identity.
5) Meet the Parents
Hillarious! Ben Stiller is great... the movie was well put together and was witty. Dumb in some ways but it relied more on satire than wit than slapstick humor and that appealed to me.

I may see some more movies soon. However, it is now time for me to write a scene about electromagnetic mind control.
