mood: annoyedannoyed
music: Savage Garden - Crash & Burn

So - called Great Writers who, in my opinion, should not have been allowed to write:

* Virginia Woolf (imagine that triple underlined)
* Rosseau
* Hamilton, Madison and Jay
* Saint Augustine (I'm sorry the whole "heart wrenching and deeply emotional" parts somehow didn't connect with me...)
* Hawthorne
* Melville

that's all at the moment. But as I progress through my college career and discover more writers who frost me, I've no doubt that this list will grow.

There are some other writers who I should not have had to read in school (Maya Angelou, Mark Twain), but who were great writers, so they do not go on my hitlist of people who I wish had died in unfortunate accidents before they had an opportunity to create volumes of literary work that somebody might care about but certainly not me.

Oh, and thank you Mina, I love Savage Garden. =) Nice happy music.

A funny coincidence that my winamp seems to always have the same few songs playing when I update this. It has a list of 150 songs in it or something like that right now... odd. Very very odd.

all i have to say to that is: WORD! i know exactly what you'r etalking about too.. i had to read all that crap for my ap european history and ap government classes in high school and it was like pulling teeth! and then there are those authors you had to read in english, like maya angelou who you said, and kate chopin, who were so good that you felt bad for hating them because you were forced to read them =)
