Life is for living

mood: busybusy

It seems to be the way of things that the times when I have the most to write about are the times when I write the least. Probably because I am too busy doing things to write about to actually sit down and write.

The last week has been productive on many fronts -- I finished a ballgown to be comp-wearable (and evidently it looked good, or my dancing looked good in it, at least, as Steve and I were 4th of 25 couples in prechamp standard last night!) in less than three weeks, practiced like mad, finished acquiring one eye's dataset meaning there is not so much data left to collect (finally!) and there is an end in sight to this neverending project. And time spent with great people having fun, including the Solar Eclipse Party at the Exploratorium. Decided that added to my list of things to do is go see a total solar eclipse live and in person. Preferably in some cool and exotic location.

A good week in terms of balancing mental, physical and emotional lives, albeit sacrificing a bit more sleep than I perhaps should have.

All of these details of my life need and deserve entries, even if they are short, but I am finding myself running short on time to write. Which probably means that over time, my journal is a better chronicle of my feelings and how I work through them than it is a record of what my life was really like at any given point, or what I was doing with it, really.

Much wanderlust lately. But, hopefully florida in a month and NYC soon after that will help settle things. (Except that the pull lately has been quite strongly to visit another continent. Ah, well. Things will work out, one way or another. They always do).

Let's start planning for 2008 or 2009 (or beyond)!
