I want to write a poem. About last friday, when snow was falling and it caught in my wool coat and new red scarf from macy's. About when I could see ice crystals in my eyelashes and I remembered that line from the Sound of Music "snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes" and then the wind, the icy wind blew me around the corner as I was walking to class.

Then I caught a snowflake on my tongue and I smiled. I smiled because it was winter, and because it was snowing and because the sky was that dull color of pure white mixed with pale icy gray that it turns every time it snows. And because I was here, in New York, enjoying snow caught in my faux fur collar and thinking that white on black and white on red all together were beautiful.

I caught a snowflake on my tongue and I smiled.

I think, dearies that if I divide that into lines, I may have a poem. let us hope so.
