I have been very very bad about updating this journal recently.

My life seems to have suddenly become busy and this has dropped in the priority scale. Naturally, when I SHOULD be doing other work, it becomes a priority and almost something written out of guilt or who knows what.

But! Life has been good lately -- I had an absolutely incredible weekend, on many levels. I went to a dance competition to find that my hard work at my standard has finally paid off -- Dru and I won all of our events at the bronze level (American Waltz, Tango and Foxtrot and International Waltz, Tango and Quickstep) and we placed in Viennese Waltz at the Silver Level.

We also placed in Silver Swing/Mambo and Samba/Jive, which is a bit scary, given that I do not really dance Latin, I fake it. Apparently, however, I fake it better than many people dance it. Either that or everyone else really sucked.

It was a good day. I placed in all of my syllabus events, and in several fun dances as well, which was a wonderful, beautiful thing. And I danced and that also was a beautiful thing.

And now, it is back to much hard work -- take-home midterm due tomorrow, performance paper due Thursday, English Paper due Friday. I am beginning to think that I will write my English paper on Love being something that is actually surprisingly violent and how this is played out in Noel Coward's Private Lives.

Also. I got a 98/100 on my Musical Theatre midterm. Can't complain about that one.
