I had once upon a time intended to reformat my disk drive and install a better operating system on my computer, but it does not appear that such an event will happen in the near future. I have decided that there are too many other, better things that I would like to do in my last free day before classes start, things that are not related to computers.

If tomorrow is miserable, I will spend the day scrap booking. If tomorrow is nice, I will probably still spend it scrap booking. I want to get my ballroom scrapbook mostly done by the time the club fair happens on Thursday. It is a distinct possibility, I believe. Also, I want to start a second scrapbook... a gift for Dru that is to be a collection of our first 6 months as a dance team (as it has now been 6 months that we have been dancing together). It will be my gift to him for our 7-month anniversary coming up on the 12th.

It's scary to think that I've been with a boy... the same boy for 7 months already. On the one hand it does seem like a long time, and on the other hand it hardly seems like any time at all. I suppose that part of it is the black hole that we fell into known as July and August wherein we had many fights and arguments and saw a lot of each other without actually seeing each other.

I was reflecting on this as we wandered through the city today, window shopping and so on, and I realized that there were so many things that we'd said we were going to do during the summer, and suddenly the summer is over and we haven't done any of them. It's a saddening thought.

My writing has really began to suck lately. I will be disciplined this year. I will write here every day. My writing will improve. Yes. Yesyesyesyesyes.

In other news, I have a new monitor and a new mouse, both of which make me very very happy. Also, I have several exceedingly cute notebooks and school supplies with which to start my fall semester. It's a silly and trivial thing, really, but new school supplies have a remarkable power to make me happy and make me feel good about that which is to come.
